OBERMEYER has contributed to divine campus design of Yiwu China-Europe Intelligent Manufacturing Park Experimental Primary School, which is also known as Yiwu Fotang Primary School. A lot of families show their desires of going to the school upon the completion of the campus. This fascinating Experimental Primary School is located in the northwest corner of the European Town in the core area of Yiwu China-Europe Intelligent Manufacturing Park, occupying an area of 2.4 ha next to the ecological recreation riverbank. Considering the international background of China-Europe Intelligent Park and the positioning strategy of Yiwu’s Urban Plan, OBERMEYER designed this "high-quality European standard primary school”, creating a knowledge town suitable for children to learn, to communicate, and to play. And eventually create a creative castle full of joy and green.
Due to the limited area of the site, the design is mainly focusing on the efficiency of the external and internal movement by creating multiple layers and maximising the accessibilities. The circulation is under careful design and is conducive to not interfering with the functions of each part and makes sure all the routes are of competent convenience. Thus, students and staffs can easily reach to the frequent activity areas directly. At the meanwhile, the multi-dimensional space and landscape together generate a combined space with path and green, making the campus an open, free, lively and green communication place for children.
The overall style of the architecture is elegant and lasting. Through in-depth consideration of the details of the design, it takes care of children's visual experience, and combines the design requirements of green and energy-saving, the building delivers a comfort and cosy atmosphere which will become more and more meaningful over time.
